Check out GPT-6 Astra. It's a refreshing update that is a leap ahead of Sol.

3 Ideas for Using Astra

  1. Fix your App Store screenshots. I share how I went from 1 download/month to 4,388 in July.
  2. Prototype new UI designs. Huge improvements over Sol.
  3. Research competitors, download app reviews, descriptions, screenshots, and plan your next App Store description + keywords.

I built my daughter a ModRetro game about her puppy

Hey Reader, I turned my daughter's favorite puppy (stuffed animal) into a Game Boy game with Codex. It runs on the ModRetro Chromatic I got at DevDay 2026. We play with her puppy during bedtime stories. I used an image of her puppy to create the game, then used GPT-6.1 Sol on ultrafast to generate all the animations and gameplay (And yes... I'm on Pro 500 for at least this month as Tibo hands out resets). In the game, not everything worked the first time, but it still made her laugh and...

GPT-Live-1 voice model in the API for natural conversations

Hey Reader, I added voice control to my pour-over coffee app. Using OpenAI’s latest voice model, I can have a natural back-and-forth conversation with the app and change recipe settings—even after I’ve started a recipe. I gave the voice model tools to change any recipe setting. The app used the Gleam voice and can explain how to pour with a gooseneck kettle. It was awesome, and our babysitter couldn’t stop laughing yesterday. I'd need to figure out pricing to cover the cost, but it could help...

Distinguishing between a PiP video close vs. pause in my timer app on iPhone. We had a random 250ms delay to differentiate the two, and removing it broke some behavior. Except the delay wasn't necessary, and the feature was fine before the agents touched it. This kept...
